Happy 4th of July!
This morning the kiddos had a great idea! They wanted to create a little friendly competition creating their own juice concoctions. Thanks “American Girls – Grace Stirs up Success” for the inspiration! The rules (according to them) were to create their own juice using what we had in our kitchen. I threw in my own rule – must use only whole foods – nothing processed 😉 They each had to drink both juices (all of it) even if it tasted gross and we’d all vote at the end to see who had the yummiest juice.
Each juice actually came out really yummy & refreshing on this hot, hot 4th of July morning. Naturally they each voted for their own juice, leaving me to tie break and since I’m mom and can’t do that. I chose them both making, it a tie! Below are the ingredients to each juice for you to judge for yourself!

Yellow Friendo created and named by Atticus
- 1/2 apple
- 1 mango
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 orange
- ice & filtered water
Púrpura Love created and named by Vandy
- 1/2 apple
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 cup frozen blueberries, raspberries, strawberries & kale (bagged together – purchased from Costco)
- Raw Organic Honey
- ice & filtered water
All ingredients were blended on high in a Vitamix (the worlds best blender) until smooth!
Enjoy!
Great side note about Vitamix: This company is made locally in the USA and comes fully covered with a 7 year warranty. In the 7 years we’ve owned this blender, we use it on the daily probably 3-5 times a day. I’ve had the pitcher break on me twice and Vitamix has replaced it both times with wonderful efficiency and customer service. Vitamix doesn’t’t pay me in any way to write this blog piece, we just really love their product!
