Life-style DIY Workshop

I love a quick and easy snap-shot from my phone just as much as the next mom. Lugging my hefty gear around to our activities can be a real pain, but the results are always so worth it and the preserved memories… priceless!  With any life-style or environmental session, such as this, there is little control over the setting, backdrop and lighting.  But the authenticity of them kind of makes me love them just as much as the sessions we stylize for our clients.  Perhaps, maybe even a little more 🙂

I think I must have been living under a rock, because I just discovered this awesome (and FREE) workshop to do with the kiddos!  On the first Saturday of every month, Home Depot offers a diy building workshop for kids and parents to do together.  The first time I did this with my 5 yr old son, he left feeling so confident and proud of the work he’d accomplished all on his own (well, mostly on his own). We went home after and he immediately showed off his new toy he’d built to everyone with great pride.  He then ran over to his calendar and made sure I wrote down the next class and he literally counted the days down until that day!

These kids can do it… Yes they can!
