Wow! An amazing event was pulled off 3 days ago, Santa in the Barn at Case-Barlow Farm! We photographed over 70 beautiful families! Ā It was such an amazing experience to witness the twinkle in so many adorable children’s eyes.
This event is one of many, put on every year where families can come and enjoy the beautiful farm. Ā Santa in the Barn is held every year on the second Saturday of December. So be sure to mark your calendars now, for next year!
All the proceeds from the events are donated back to Case-Barlow Farm. This in an effort to help restore the 203 yr old farm and preserve a beautiful piece of Hudson’s History.
Just a little back story…
The farmĀ was founded in 1814.Ā Five consecutive generations ran the dairy farm.Ā When the kids on the farm did not want to stay on the farm, Don Barlow gave the property to his church in 1995.Ā The farm was destined for demolition when some folks in town formed a non-profit group to save the buildings.Ā The City of Hudson put a ballot measure to the voters to buy the acreage for parks, which the voters did.
Case-Barlow Farm, Inc. is an independent nonprofit corporation. It was formed in an effort to restore the homestead and foster future generations to have an appreciation for the spirit and heritage of its builders. Case-Barlow Farm, Inc. is ran by all volunteersĀ who do everything from cleaning the buildings, organizing events, to dreaming BIG – that the barn will soon be open for rentals. Ā Ā The farm house is currently available for private parties, offsite business meetings, etc. Ā Case-Barlow Farm, Inc. is listed on the Ohio Historical Inventory, has received recognition by the Hudson Historical Society and is a designated Underground Railroad by the Friends of Freedom Society.
A Special Thank You
