When this beautiful baby girl’s momma called me to capture her newborn session, she was already born and would be one month new at her session date. I know a lot of newborn photographers say… suggest… prefer… (even turn away – WHAT?!?!) Ā babies under two weeks of age, butĀ in all honesty this is not a big deal in really any way. I’ve captured plenty of older babies with just as much success and varietyĀ as very new ones – I’m talking full beautiful sleeping baby galleries! Ā And I have plenty of props to suit older baby needs. So if you think you missed the window, trust me – you did not… call meš¤
ONE Month BABY GIRL
Momma did request a lot of awake baby images and I was like… Not a problem! Ā She’s older, she’ll be more awake. Well, the joke was apparently on me, because I think in my 8 year history of capturing newborns, this was by far the sleepiest baby I have had to date! Ā This sweet-pea only wanted to sleep. We did manage to capture lot of awake images with her beautiful big brown eyes. And despite no tears, she definitely gave me plenty of stink eye’d images to boot. Haha! Those were full of spunk and personality too, so I’ll take them!
Traveling Studio | In-Your-Home Newborn Photography
Like all newborn sessions these days, this one took place in their Broadview Heights family home, where I completely took over their basement with my traveling circus – I mean, traveling studio šĀ I brought everything this momma envisioned for her session and while I was setting up mini photography sets complete with backdrops, props and outfits, momma was getting her hair & makeup done. Ā Let me just pause for a sec and say…. Moms, if you can, take a little me time and get your hair & makeup done for your session. Ā DO that – because Wowza! She showed up looking hella flawless and completely fresh! Ā I HIGHLY recommend!
The Wooded Backyard made a Beautiful Backdrop
My set-ups are pretty neutral in style & esthetic. I tend to go for light woods with pastel & muted tones. I like it, it’s safe, but can also be a bit boring for me, so it’s always fun when I get to photograph a family with strong cultural connections. The Indian culture sure knows how to mix their bright vibrant colors – I LOVE IT! And I love how gorgeous it looks on this adorable baby girl. Ā Pure Perfection!
Mom and dad wanted to venture outdoors for the family portraits with their baby girl. I’m typically not a fan of anything outside on a high noon- sunny day. But the wooded backyard provided just enough coverage from the beating sun and gave us a lovely, etherealĀ backdrop. Ā It came out lovely.

To this lovely family: Thank you for welcoming me into your home and trusting me with your precious beautiful gift. I truly hope these photos bring you many years of memories and joy to look at.
