Newborn SessionsIf your goal is to capture your baby when he/she is still very fresh, sleepy and new, then we recommend having your session within the first 10 days of life. However, this is not a requirement. I will successfully provide you with beautiful images of your baby at any age. The goal for every session is to give you a beautiful variety of images while keeping your time in mind. Because all babies are different, please plan on about 2-3 hrs for a newborn session. This will accommodate, feedings, changing, clean-ups, etc…
Birthday Baby SessionsThese sessions are taken outdoors and typically last a little over an hour. They include a smash cake, baby bath splash, and artistic styling by us.
Style GuideChoosing what to wear for your photo shoot can be a little overwhelming. Here are some quick tips on how to put together portrait perfect outfits for your session. Ideally, simpler is better to keep the emphasis on your baby. I HIGHLY recommend sticking to earth tones or muted tones. You want faces and personalities to be the main focus not a bright color. Also earth tones and muted tones will work with every décor and will not go out of style like trendy colors will. Start with one article of clothing as an inspiration piece. Build your color palette with one to two neutrals and one accent (every color has a muted shade). For large groups stay within a color family but avoid exactly matching outfits. Layers and textures are beautiful and can add a level of style to every outfit.
- natural soft colors
- muted colors
- earth tones
- stream-lined layering (thin layers)
- large bold patterns and prints
- neon colors, all black or all white
- thick clothing
- matching clothing
- tight or baggy clothing
